Magellan Meridian Secret Codes

There are many ways beside the 'on' button to start the GPS. Some are very dangerous to use.
Do not complain to me when you lose your internal data like almanac, temperature compensation etc.
Let us start with the most usefull codes. You can download them for printing and future reference. (It is a PDF-file) You have not alway your computer at hand when you will need this information!

I feel the need to repeat: do not complain when your GPS loses data or becomes unoperable.
Some tricks with EGNOS (WAAS)
Shut down the GPS. Then push the NAV button while engaging the ON-button. When you do this right then two zero numbers will appear on-screen. With the up-down buttons you can make a chice of 3. The the WAAS Status screen will show up. A simple [ENTER] will switch WAAS (and/or EGNOS) on or off. Take your pick and power down. The next time the GPS is switched on normally then the last selected state for WAAS/EGNOS will be used.
